The Mavericks could be without Caron Butler for the remainder of the season after he suffered a knee injury on Saturday night, according to a source.
Butler's symptoms have indicated that he suffered at least a partial tear of the patellar tendon in his right knee.
If it is a partial tear, Butler could be out two months.
However, a full tear would end the forward's season.
The Mavericks won't know the extent of the injury until they get the results of the MRI Butler had done on Sunday.
