Louisiana Tech sophomore Brandon Gibson will miss the remainder of the team's 2010-11 campaign after undergoing surgery on Thursday to repair a torn left ACL.

Gibson suffered the injury when his knee buckled as he drove for a layup attempt in a 71-60 loss at Boise State on Dec. 29.

He had started 12 games for the Bulldogs and was one of their most productive players.

"That's a big loss, because we've been able to really kind of play small, do some good things and weather some storms with a small lineup with him and Olu (Ashaolu)," Tech head coach Kerry Rupp said.
