For the fourth time in five games, Portland played Patty Mills over Andre Miller at point guard late in Sunday's loss to Miami.

"Patty's been doing some good things ... knocking down shots for us," Nate McMillan said. "We've stuck with that lineup before when things are going well."

Mills played all but 48 seconds of the fourth quarter against the Heat.

In the five games the Trail Blazers have played in 2011, Mills has played 54:07 in the fourth quarter and overtime, while Miller has played 16:46.

"Man, there's no explanation for nothing around here," Miller said. "I can't play the whole fourth quarter the whole season. (But) ... that was a good game, so I'm not going to dwell on me."

Early in the season McMillan said he was playing Miller too much, but the veteran says he doesn't need any rest.

"Rest for what?" Miller said. "Where are we going? What do I need rest for? There's never been a problem with playing both minutes. No need (for me) to sit over there and rest. But Patty was doing a good job and the team was in a good rhythm so I can understand what he was doing."
