LaMarcus Aldridge has averaged 26.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per game over his past 14 contests.

During the offseason, Aldridge hired a personal trainer in Dallas who had worked with several of the NFL’s Cowboys, including linebacker DeMarcus Ware. For three months, five days a week, an hour and a half to two hours a day, Aldridge lifted weights and ran through a series of strength and conditioning work, including box jumps and lunges while wearing a weight vest.

Aldridge, who ended last season weighing 245 pounds, returned to Portland in late September at 257 and has maintained the increased weight.
