Carmelo Anthony told the media that there is no meeting scheduled with the Nets to his knowledge.

There is "no meeting at all,'' Anthony said, adding that talk of a meeting with New Jersey's ownership on friday was "news to me."

Anthony also seemed unsure of what his approach would be to a meeting with Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov.

"If I was to meet with that guy to be honest I really don't know what I would say," Anthony said.

"I know this is the All-Star week but it's also a big week for me as far as having some knowledge about my situation." Anthony said that he would like to have "something up in stone before I leave here this weekend" and that he might "not get any more sleep for the next four or five days."

"I think, with anything in business, you want to sit and look in a person's eyes," Anthony said. "Whether it's Prokhorov or it's [James] Dolan, whether it's [Jerry] Buss, the third team that just came out last week. Whoever it is, you want to sit and have eye contact with them and get a feel for 'em."
