Knicks president Donnie Walsh is excited by the addition of Carmelo Anthony because he says the team now has two players that can "take over" a game when needed.

Anthony did so on Wednesday night against the Bucks after Amar'e Stoudemire fouled out late in the game.

"Now you've got two guys that can take over a game, and one of them took it over last night," Walsh said Thursday. "In the past, if Amar'e had fouled out, we could've won the game, but not in that fashion."

Anthony scored 27 points in his New York debut, including 11 in the final quarter.

"We have different options now, no doubt about it," coach Mike D'Antoni said.
