Jeff Green, who couldn't come to an agreement with the Thunder on a contract extension last summer, wants to remain with the Celtics.

Boston acquired Green in a trade with Oklahoma City last week. He'll be a restricted free agent this coming offseason.

"I mean, sure, this is a great team and the future is bright for this team with the pieces that we have," Green said. "If it comes to (signing a long-term contract), yeah. It hasn’t come up, though, not at all. We’re focused on getting to the Finals and winning a championship. The contract extension is something that, yeah, I would like that, but it is something that I am going to hold off on."

Kendrick Perkins, who the Celtics shipped to the Thunder in the Green deal, signed an extension with Oklahoma City shortly after.
