Not only is Rockets' coach Rick Adelman unsure if he'll return next year, Houston owner Les Alexander isn't sure either. Alexander said Thursday he would consider his options regarding Adelman with general manager Daryl Morey after the season.

“At the end of the season, I’ll sit down with Daryl and we’ll talk about it,” Alexander said. “Nothing has been done yet, or thought about yet in that regard.”

Adelman is currently in the final season of his contract, and the uncertainty expressed by the coach plays into Alexander’s decision.

“There’s nothing that doesn’t play into it,” Alexander said. “I can understand that. I understand that he lives in Portland. Coming back and forth is a tough thing. That’s all I can say. I can’t speak for him.”
