Lakers coach Phil Jackson had harsh words for his team following their losing effort in Portland Friday night, their fourth loss in a row.

"We were lazy and inefficient in the first half," Jackson said. "In the second half, we just didn't buckle down and do the right thing offensively. These guys just don't want to play hard right now."

The losses to the Trail Blazers, Golden State, Utah and Denver had a common thread. The Lakers didn't take the games as seriously as their opponents did, and they lost to teams below them in the standings.

"It's a product of not paying attention, not being focused, not playing the game with the right attitude," Jackson added.
