Chicago's reserves have seen their minutes drop over the first two games of the playoffs, but Tom Thibodeau wants them to remain ready.

‘‘I’m comfortable with the way things are going,’’ Thibodeau said Wednesday. ‘‘When you get into the playoffs, there’s more days in between. So your starters play more.’’

The reserves who have seen their minutes drop the most are the four-five combination of Taj Gibson and Omer Asik.

‘‘Taj is playing very well, playing at a high level,’’ Thibodeau said. ‘‘It’s just the way the games are going. And we’re confident in Omer. If we need his shot blocking, his offensive rebounding, his energy, we’re going to put him out there. He’s done a good job all year.’’
