When talking to reporters, Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau praised Marquette small forward Jimmy Butler, whom the Bulls took with the last pick of the first round, though he cautioned that Butler would be brought along slowly.

"He's a wing," Thibodeau said. "I think he has the ability to play both spots. Those two spots are very interchangeable with us. We're comfortable with that. And if there's a small range-shooting power forward, he can handle that. He did that a lot in college. We think he has great feet. He can guard big guys, small guys. The first step will be for him to contribute in practice."
