Amar’e Stoudemire is taking a higher percentage of shots from outside.
Stoudemire’s shot attempts from 16-23 feet, generally thought of as the most inefficient shots in basketball, have risen to 45.2 percent of his total attempts, a 16.8 percent increase from last season.
Stoudemire is struggling to find driving lanes with newly acquired center Tyson Chandler positioned down low.
Prior to Wednesday night’s 118-110 loss to the Bobcats, Stoudemire had been involved in just one pick-and-roll as the screener.
