Tayshaun Prince is frustrated by the Pistons’ 2-8 start to the season.

"Of course that's not how I envisioned it coming in, for it to be painful," Prince said after the Mavericks dropped the Pistons, 100-86 on Tuesday. "I expected to see progress."

Prince scored 2 points in 22 minutes against the Mavericks.

"I'm always good playing through the rhythm of the offense," Prince said. "And our rhythm is just not there, we haven't picked it up. Hopefully it'll come as we continue but the improvement hasn't been there yet.

"I think the defense is frustrated to the point where it's carrying into the offensive end. Every time we make a couple shots, a couple turnovers and then the momentum swings back over to the other team. At first it was defense trying to really get things together but now it's on both ends."
