Draymond Green is currently projected as a late first- to mid-second-round pick, according to one NBA scout who places Green in the 25-45 range of the draft.

"I think Draymond has a good chance because there’s a need for people with high basketball IQ," Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said. "His shooting will get nothing but better. His ball skills will get nothing but better. He’ll have to prove his defense consistently.

"I’m trying to think of one area where he hasn’t made great improvement, which leads me to believe that if he gets a break and gets a chance, he’s going to improve more and more."

Izzo also pointed to Green’s intelligence and preparedness.

"He studies film well," Izzo said. "He’s one of the best scout-readers that there is. He picks up things better than half of us."
