Brook Lopez, who has not played all season because of a broken foot, says he is ready to return to practice.

"I don’t really think there’s anything (left to do)," Lopez said after shooting jump shots prior to the Nets' game against the Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills. "We just have to keep putting it together and keep trying to get into shape and the next opportunity at practice, hopefully I’ll be able to participate."

Lopez went through a light workout on Friday.

"We got some shots up, a lot of running — up and backs, up and backs; jump shots; post moves — it was good stuff," Lopez said.

Avery Johnson said the Nets will take a cautious approach with Lopez.

"Patience is the key when you’re talking about a small bone in a 7-foot guy’s foot," Johnson said. "We’d like to not have any setbacks."
