The Mavericks are becoming increasingly concerned that Deron Williams will re-sign with the Nets, according to four rival executives and a fifth person familiar with Williams' thinking.

The Nets can offer Williams a five-year deal worth approximately $100 million, one season and about $26 million more than the Mavericks.

A high-ranking person in the shoe industry said last week that Williams would prefer to sign with Dallas even at a hometown discount with the belief that he would make up the difference in endorsements in his hometown and for a contender.
