The Magic have hired Brett Gunning as an assistant coach.

Gunning spent the previous four seasons with the Rockets, with 11-12 coming as an assistant coach. Gunning was previously Houston's director of player development.

Gunning was previously an assistant coach at Villanova for seven seasons.
