Knicks Credit Carmelo For Becoming More Unselfish
Carmelo Anthony struggled with his shot on Thursday and didn't take a single shot in the fourth quarter in the New York Knicks' 104-100 comeback win over the Spurs.
“There was a point in the game where I went to huddle everybody up and said “use me a decoy,’ ” Anthony said. “It worked.”
Anthony kept the ball moving, setting up key baskets for Raymond Felton, J.R. Smith and Jason Kidd.
“He played unbelievable,” Smith said of Anthony. “In the past, when he hasn’t had it going, he would still look for his shot. For him to make that next pass, and for Raymond to make to make the next pass, that really shows our growth. We’re not looking for our shot. We’re looking for the best shot possible.”
The Knicks are now 6-0 on the season.
