Chris Paul suffered a bruised left thumb in the Los Angeles Clippers' Game 5 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday, but he is expected to start on Friday in Game 6.

"I'm cool, I'm good," Paul said. "I hit myself."

Blake Griffin, meanwhile, tried to play through a severely sprained ankle in Game 5, but he left the game early and could hardly put pressure on the ankle afterward.

An MRI and X-Ray on Griffin's ankle on Wednesday came negative, but his status is in doubt and he is day-to-day.

Lamar Odom will start in Griffin's place if Griffin is not able to play on Friday.
