Phoenix Suns training camp invite James Nunnally has reached agreement on a deal to return to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA D-League, a league source told RealGM.

Following three games with the Suns in the preseason, Nunnally was released and had been evaluating options overseas and in the D-League before deciding to return to Bakersfield. He averaged 10.3 points and nearly three rebounds in 19.7 minutes a game with Bakersfield a season ago.

Nunnally played for the Miami Heat in the Las Vegas summer league, averaging 13 points on 57 percent shooting.

An outside shooting threat at 6-foot-7, Nunnally, 23, went undrafted in the 2012 NBA draft after four seasons at UC Santa Barbara.

The D-League held its annual draft on Friday night.
