The Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings are separated by just 90 miles and have shared Northern California for 29 seasons, but they have yet to develop a rivalry.

The Warriors and Kings have never reached the playoffs in the same season during that stretch of time.

During the Warriors' stretch of contention from 86-87 until 93-94, the Kings never won more than 29 games.

When the Kings were in the playoffs every season from 98-99 until 05-06, the Warriors won 21 or fewer games in three seasons.

The Kings are now owned by a former co-owner of the Warriors in Vivek Ranadive, while Chris Mullin and Pete D'Alessandro are also former members of that front office.
