Steve Nash is owed $9.7 million on his contract for the 14-15 season with the Los Angeles Lakers and he's rehabbing in order to continue his career one final season.

During the latest installment of his documentary, Nash admits that money is a factor in his decision on not retiring.

"The reality is I can come in every day and say 'you know what, I'm just not right today' and just be injured and ride out the rest of my contract, collect my checks," said Nash.

"But while I'm not willing to retire and give up that last year of my contract, I'm also not willing to sit back and say 'I don't quite feel it today' until I'm forgotten about and the contract is over.

"I still love the game enough, still love the fight. That is a real genuine affection for this game that I have.

"Then, on the other hand, it's just a reality: I'm not going to retire because I want the money. It's honest."
