David Stern praised the work of Adam Silver and said he is proud of his successor as commissioner of the NBA.

Silver banned Donald Sterling as owner of the Los Angeles Clippers after Sterling's racist remarks.

"He and I worked together for 22 years," Stern said on Thursday. "I told everyone he was going to be great at his job and I'm delighted to see that I was right."

Stern said he is consulting a number of digital companies that interested in building global brands in the realm of sports, gaming and gambling.

"Everyone's interested in competition it seems," Stern said. "And I have a bit of experience in that department."
