The Los Angeles Lakers have centered their head coaching search to Kurt Rambis, Alvin Gentry and Byron Scott, according to sources.

Rambis is a probable candidate to become an assistant coach with Derek Fisher and the New York Knicks if he doesn't get the job. Rambis is close with Phil Jackson and has a strong relationship with Fisher.

Rambis was previously head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
