The New York Knicks have contacted the Philadelphia 76ers about a trade centered on Amar'e Stoudemire.

Phil Jackson is trying to clear this year's payroll and has looked for avenues to trade Stoudemire.

The 76ers have made it known they would be willing to accept an undesirable contract if an asset is included in the deal. Iman Shumpert is a possible part in a Stoudemire deal to the 76ers.
