The Phoenix Suns will keep forward Shavlik Randolph past his contract guarantee date Thursday, his agent Joel Bell told RealGM.

The Suns faced a decision on whether to fully guarantee Randolph's deal or release him on Thursday.

Randolph played in the Chinese Basketball Association last season and signed with the Suns in March. The 6-foot-10 big man resurrected his NBA career in 2013 for the Boston Celtics, averaging 4.2 points, 4.4 rebound and 12.4 minutes per game in 16 appearances.

Randolph, 30, has averaged 2.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in his seven-year NBA career.
