Dairis Bertans received multiple invitations to NBA training camp, but the Boston Celtics’ summer league guard has decided to stay with Bilabo in Spain, a source told RealGM.

Bertans’ playing future had been in question due to the conflict between Bilbao and the Spanish ACB league. He’ll now remain with the Spanish club in the ACB.

Bertans averaged nearly seven points and two rebounds in three games for the Celtics in Orlando last month. The 6-foot-4 guard suffered a freak head injury in a game where he was carted off in a stretcher and to the hospital.

Bertans, 24, averaged 10.4 points and 1.6 rebounds for Bilbao a season ago. His brother, Davis Bertans, was a draft acquisition of San Antonio in 2011 and spent time around the Spurs’ organization this summer before re-signing overseas.
