The Phoenix Suns signed Eric Bledsoe, Markieff Morris and Marcus Morris to new contracts recently, which look like even better deals in light of the NBA's new television contract.

"We feel like the contracts were good values for us, regardless of the new TV deal," Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough said. "The incoming revenue will change the financial picture of the league going forward. It will have a drastic impact on the salary cap. We were aware it was going to increase significantly. We factored that in."

The Suns have a good portion of their core under contract already, which could give them cap space when it escalates in the coming seasons.

"Between the contract extensions and the guys we've drafted in the past two years, we have most of our players under control for a long time," McDonough said. "With the cap escalating in a few years, we'll have some opportunities to add to our nucleus, keeping the core guys here but adding good guys to go along with them and push us to that championship level."
