The Philadelphia 76ers are undergoing a radical rebuild and while it's long-term results success has yet to be determined, there is a perception now that veteran players will avoid playing there at all costs.

"No one wants to go there," said an Eastern Conference player who spoke on the condition of anonymity. "Not right now."

Danny Granger and Andrei Kirilenko are two veterans who refused to suit up for the Sixers following trades to the team.

The Sixers hope their team will become a desired destination for free agents in a few seasons.

"I guess the obvious reason would be [it's] on a struggling team," said Luc Mbah a Moute, a seventh-year player who was acquired in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves. "Most veterans I guess don't want to go through the process and be on a team where there's a lot of young players and you deal with losing a lot of games."

"I'm not insulted by it at all," Brett Brown said. "And I don't think anybody involved in the program should be. I think it's just reality of where we are at."
