The Indiana Pacers and Monta Ellis are moving closer to an agreement.

Larry Bird has reportedly been determined to secure Ellis to a contract and the Pacers are pushing hard to close a deal.

Ellis spent the past two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks.

The Pacers would like to play faster moving forward.
