Free agent center Keith Benson has agreed to a deal with the Miami Heat for training camp, a league source told RealGM.

Benson was the 48th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks, later signing with the Golden State Warriors and appearing in three games in 2012.

Benson, 27, has also played professionally in the D-League and overseas. He averaged 10 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last season with Lithuanian and Estonian teams.

A 6-foot-11 big man, Benson starred at Oakland University from 2007 to 2011. As a senior, he had averages of 17.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.6 blocks.
