According to the speculation of some of "those around league" that have communicated with Chris Broussard, the Golden State Warriors are a possible destination for Kevin Durant in free agency.

"At this point, everything is speculation," said Broussard.

"When you talk to some executives, a name that has been thrown will shock people – Golden State.

"Now, this is not something coming out Durant’s camp.

"There are those around the league that think Golden State is a possibility."

The Warriors could have enough cap space to sign Durant if they trade Andrew Bogut, Shaun Livingston, Jason Thompson and their first round pick without taking any salary in return while renouncing all of their free agents. Golden State could also offer Harrison Barnes in a sign-and-trade if he wished to cooperate, which would give them a chance to re-sign Festus Ezeli.

The Warriors could have a stripped-down roster of Durant, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala.
