Several influential figures in the Cleveland Cavaliers' locker room are open to the notion of trading for Markieff Morris.

They believe the Cavs can get the most potential out of him in the role he'd be assigned.

Morris would give the Cavaliers another stretch-four to back up Kevin Love and he'd also serve as an insurance policy in case of an injury.

The organization fears Morris could disrupt the team's chemistry.

The Cavaliers own a $10.5 million trade exception that expires in the offseason. Morris' $8 million annual salary could be absorbed into it, but they would have to send additional assets to the Phoenix Suns the Cavs are short on.
