Arron Afflalo is likely to opt out of his contract with the New York Knicks for next season.

Afflalo hold an $8 million player option for next season.

"I still believe I'm one of the premiere two-guards in this league and part of being an elite two-guard in this league is opportunity," he said. "You have to be in a certain environment where you can excel and show what you can do. And hopefully that contributes to winning. I still believe I'm that player. I'll find the best opportunity for me."

Afflalo looked like a bargain for the Knicks but then he fell out of favor with Kurt Rambis.

Afflalo wants to sign somewhere he can start at shooting guard.

Afflalo signed with the Knicks last summer after a recommendation from Carmelo Anthony.
