The Houston Rockets will interview Kenny Smith for their head coaching vacancy.

Smith won two titles with the Rockets in the 1990s and is one of their more celebrated role players. Smith has continued to have a good relationship with Rockets' owner Les Alexander.

Smith has been in broadcasting with TNT since his retirement.
