Kevin Durant is widely expected to take a number of face-to-face recruiting meetings with a select group of interested teams during his free agency.

The Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs are considered the strongest threats to sign Durant away from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Durant and the Thunder were one win away from reaching The Finals against the Warriors with Durant and Russell Westbrook encouraged by the development of several younger players such as Steven Adams and Andre Roberson.

The widely regarded most likely scenario is for Durant to re-sign with the Thunder on a one-plus-one max contract to re-enter free agency in 2017 when Westbrook will also be a free agent and he can sign a significantly more lucrative contract.

Durant was the 2014 NBA MVP but the Thunder lost in the Western Conference Finals that season to the Spurs. During the 14-15 season, Durant underwent a number of foot surgeries.
