Tyronn Lue has opened up contract extension talks with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Lue never signed a new deal when he took over for the fired David Blatt in January.

Lue has still been working under his original four-year, $6.5 million contract he signed when he agreed to become an assistant coach with the Cavs.

Lue essentially bet on himself by not signing the three year, $9.5 million deal that was offered when taking the job.

LeBron James endorsed Lue as the "greatest coach in the world."

Lue now stands to make more than $6 million per season.
