The Brooklyn Nets met face-to-face with Dion Waiters earlier in the offseason when he was still a restricted free agent.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have since rescinded their qualifying offer to Waiters, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Waiters had a PER of 9.4 this past season along with a True Shooting Percentage of .492 in 27.6 minutes per game for the Thunder.

The Nets appear unwilling to change their stance on signing him since Waiters became unrestricted.

The Nets signed both Tyler Johnson and Allen Crabbe to offer sheets that were matched by their respective teams.
