The Philadelphia 76ers have parted ways with Lance Pearson, who was their director of applied analytics.

Pearson was a holdover from the Sam Hinkie era.

“I want to thank the Philadelphia 76ers … players, coaches, staff, fans for one of the best times and learning experiences of my life,” Pearson tweeted. “I’ll always treasure the memories, friends and knowledge I’ve gained here and wish everyone the best.”

Pearson joined the Sixers prior to the start of 2013-14 season as a basketball operations assistant. He was later promoted to the coaching analytics and special video projects coordination before taking on director’s job last summer.
