The success of LeBron James and Kevin Durant leaving their teams in free agency has shaped the way other stars view their own situations.

While James was a bit of an outlier leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat before returning in 2014, the decision made by Durant to sign with the team that just eliminated him from the Western Conference Finals changes the paradigm.

"I think KD opened the floodgates," said an agent.

"At the end of the day, I mean, basketball is good," Durant tells B/R Mag. "You're still enjoying the same players. It's just different jerseys. But I just tried to do what I wanted to do, and make it as simple as that."

Chris Paul and Gordon Hayward will be free agents expected to consider leaving their playoff teams, while Paul George appears to prefer a move to the Los Angeles Lakers.
