Nerlens Noel and the Dallas Mavericks remain far apart on contract negotiations.

Noel is a restricted free agent and that has limited his market as the Mavericks can match any offer.

Agent Happy Walters said the Mavericks have yet to come up with a realistic contract offer.

"We're very disappointed with where things stand," Walters said. "Nerlens loves Dallas and spent June there working out, but we're still waiting on a serious offer."

Noel played well in his 22 games with the Mavericks last season after joining them in a trade from Philadelphia. He averaged 8.5 points and 6.8 rebounds in 22 minutes per game.

Noel could become an unrestricted free agent next offseason if he signs for the qualifying offer of $6 million.
