During his introductory press conference with the Dallas Mavericks, Kristaps Porzingis was asked whether he plans to sign a long-term deal with the franchise in restricted free agency.

But Mark Cuban interrupted the question to answer for Porzingis.

"I can answer that for you," Cuban said. "Yeah, he does."

Asked for confirmation Porzingis said, "We're on the same page. Don't even ask."

Porzingis is excited to play with Luka Doncic.

"I get excited every time I think about it," Porzingis said. "I really think we can be something special. I think about basketball 24/7, and I really see us being very special on the court and fun to watch, so I'm excited about it."

Porzingis still has the option of playing next season on a $4.5 million qualifying offer instead of accepting an offer that can be worth as much as $158 million over five years.

"It's not a concern I have," Cuban told ESPN after the news conference. "Everything so far, all the conversations so far, have been very positive. Unless it's something that we don't expect pops up, hopefully he'll be a Maverick for the next 20 years."
