Kevin Durant recently explained how he has become more focused on basketball and has reduced his anxiety levels.

“I don’t get that much anxiety that I used to get,” Durant told The Athletic after Game 6 of the series against the Los Angeles Clippers. “And anxiety used to turn into pressure sometimes because I was thinking too much about the future. I was thinking how is this next game going to go for me as a young player, you know. I put in so much work, I wanted it to show. (Now) I’m into the game so much that I’m starting to eliminate that little anxiety I used to have for basketball. Because ain’t nobody supposed to have anxiety when you’re thinking about playing a game. But that was creeping in. So that’s how I kind of know that I’m getting to where I want to get to, when I started to eliminate that stuff. It’s still there but not as much.”

“Mindset. It’s mindset,” Shaun Livingston said of Durant. “And it’s the best part of the season, the best part of basketball. This is the best part, competing at a higher level. He’s locked in.”

Durant's postseason has shifted dramatically since his comments to the media saying: “I’m Kevin Durant. You know who I am. Y’all know who I am.”

Durant has averaged 39.4 points on 51.1 percent shooting since those comments.
