RJ Barrett reiterated his desire to play for the New York Knicks ahead of Thursday's NBA Draft.

"My late grandfather, rest in peace, he was the biggest Knicks fan. He always told me I'd play for the Knicks. So it would mean a lot for me to play for the team," Barrett explained in a media session.

The Knicks are said to be "locked in" on selecting Barrett with their third pick despite conducting a last minute workout with Darius Garland

Barrett added that he's ready to handle the challenge of playing in New York.

"I can't say much more than just you see how I am and what I've done so far in my career. I feel like I accept the challenge. And I'm really going to give it everything I've got."
