The Philadelphia 76ers' chemistry has improved to start the 19-20 season.

"Definitely," Ben Simmons told ESPN. "The chemistry is much better. Guys are giving up their time to bond."

After their Game 7 loss to the Raptors in the playoffs, the parent of one player on the 76ers told executives of the team that the chemistry was off.

The 76ers had three starters, Tobias Harris, JJ Redick and Jimmy Butler, entering free agency.

Harris was re-signed, Redick signed with the Pelicans and Butler went to the Heat in a sign-and-trade. Philadelphia acquired Josh Richardson from Miami and also signed Al Horford.

Harris and Horford help organize player dinners.

"That stuff is important," Horford said. "The longer you advance, the more you need everyone connected."
