The NBA is studying the impact of social isolation on the mental health of their players, coaches and staffers, sources tell ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

Daily calls are held with mental health experts and plans are being created to use technology to help mitigate the effects of isolation.

The league is shutting down all practice facilities effective on Friday, which will further contribute to the social isolation.

The NBA league office has also been closed since last Friday, but league employees continue to work remotely.
