The league is holding discussions about expanding the number of days players on Two-Way contracts can spend in the NBA in order to make them more available.

With a short offseason and the possibility of losing players for stretches of the season due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, teams would like more added roster flexibility. 

Teams who have relied on players on Two-Way contracts have historically been forced to get creative sending them back and forth between the NBA and their G League affiliate.
