The Chicago Bulls have a league-high nine players in the NBA's health and safety protocols. With Patrick Williams also out after wrist surgery, the Bulls have only nine players available. Because of all the absences, Chicago has asked the NBA to postpone Tuesday's game vs the Detroit Pistons.

To this point, the league has not responded to the Bulls' request, and it is likely the game will be played as scheduled. NBA rules mandate that teams must be able to suit up at least eight players for a game. As it stands currently, Chicago should have nine players active.

The other option for the Bulls is to sign more players via the hardship exception. Chicago has already signed Stanley Johnson and Alfonzo McKinnie via hardship but could add more healthy bodies to get through the next 10 days. It's unknown if the Bulls will look to add players or not.
