Dennis Schroder was interested in re-signing with the Los Angeles Lakers this past offseason even after they traded for Russell Westbrook, sources tell Bill Oram of The Athletic.

Schroder had previously rejected a four-year, $84 million extension offer from the Lakers.

With the market evaporated, Schroder eventually signed a one-year, $5.9 million contract with the Boston Celtics.

The Lakers also let Alex Caruso leave in free agency while signing Malik Monk and Kendrick Nunn.
