The Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers have engaged on a trade centered on James Harden for Ben Simmons on Thursday morning.

"There's motivation on both sides" to get a deal done, said Adrian Wojnarowski.

The question is whether the 76ers will meet Brooklyn's asking price for Harden.

Brooklyn feels comfortable finishing out the season with Harden if a deal is not reached. The Nets also have questions on when Simmons will be ready to play.

"There's a place for these two teams to meet today on a deal," said Wojnarowski.

The Nets are seeking some combination of Simmons, Seth Curry, Matisse Thybulle and picks in exchange for Harden.
